I was honored to represent Liberty on the 2016 Bond Committee. Over 4 meetings the committee (made up of over 49 community members representing all schools and areas of the Issaquah school district) discussed the springboard proposal from the school district and voted unanimously on what the the 2016 Bond Projects should be. At this point the superintendent will review the committee proposal and submit his recommendations to the school board. The forecast is for a campaign to begin in late fall with the bond on a spring ballot.
Thank you for allowing me to represent Liberty.
Kimberly Montague

The projected tax rates for a bond of this size are:
2016-2020 taxes stay at $4.14 per $1000 assessed home value
2021-2034 taxes go down to $4.03 per $1000 assessed home value
Our current tax rate is $4.14, so our taxes will not increase but our school district facilities will grow with the growth of Issaquah and the surrounding areas.
