Dear Class of 2026,
High school is flying by! Wow, it's already Senior year! Where the heck did the time go?
Each year Liberty High PTSA plans several fun events for SENIORS! What are the PTSA hosted Senior Events, you might ask?
Senior Sunrise – Takes place on the first day of school, before school starts, thus the Sunrise part. It is a Senior only event and it is a time to commemorate their LAST first day of school. Seniors gather on the football field for a snack and beverage and take a class picture with the Senior Sunrise banner.
Senior Breakfast – It is a full breakfast for the senior students the morning of the “Moving Up” Assembly & Graduation Rehearsal.
Night of Reflection – Takes place the night before graduation. Seniors and their families are invited to listen to an inspirational speaker, watch some seniors perform or read an exert and take some cap and gown pictures while having a light dessert.
Senior Sunset – Takes place on the last day of school for Seniors. It usually takes place right after Night of Reflection. It is a Senior only event and Seniors gather on the football field for a treat and beverage and take a class picture with the Senior Sunset banner.
GRAD Night - Is a special celebration for Seniors on the night after they graduate. Students meet at the school, get checked in and take a bus to a top secret location. This is an all night celebration and generally one of the last times they will be under the same roof as their classmates. It is a drug, alcohol and cell phone free event intended to let our Seniors celebrate graduation in a safe manner. In the past, some of the Grad Nights have been a dinner cruise plus bowling, Dave & Busters, etc.
Throughout the time at Liberty, Freshman through Senior year, we are fundraising for our kids. Why do we fundraise? We fundraise over the years to bring the price down for the Grad Night tickets and other senior events. This helps make ticket prices more affordable to ALL students. Transportation and venue costs are very expensive, so as a PTSA we provide opportunities and support to fundraise to keep these prices low.
Back to fundraising. Below, are some of the past fundraisers and upcoming fundraisers:
Freshman year: Concession sales with Booster Club & Restaurant Take-Over
Sophomore year: Concession sales with Booster Club & Popcorn Fundraiser
Junior year: Concession sales with Booster Club & Regal Movie Fundraiser
Senior year: Concession sales & Spirit Wear Sales with Booster Club, 50/50 Ticket Sales & Rally-Up, Corporate Sponsors, along with whatever else comes along.
How can I help?
You can volunteer your time to work a concession shift. Our next sign-up for winter sport season is coming up and anyone 18+ (that is not a current high school student) can work; no experience is required.
Do you still want to donate and not worry about selling anything? We will provide more info about how to donate soon! Please note that when you go to the Issaquah Pay Portal off the Issaquah School District site, those funds go to ASB and not PTSA.
We hope together we can make this an amazing year for our future Seniors! For now, enjoy every second as the time flies by and the holiday season with your student!
